Stafford DTC Unanimously Supports Malloy for Governor

STAFFORD – The Stafford Democratic Town Committee will support Dan Malloy as Connecticut’s next governor, should Malloy decide to run. The DTC voted unanimously last night to support the former Stamford Mayor, who is currently exploring a run for the state’s highest office.

"The Stafford Democratic Town Committee voted unanimously to endorse Dan Malloy and they did so with the knowledge that he would be not only a great candidate, but someone with the administrative ability to be a successful governor,” said David Walsh, Stafford DTC Chair.

Malloy has been travelling the state in recent months meeting with town committees, local businesses and community leaders to discuss his vision for the future of Connecticut.

“I’m gratified for this fantastic showing of support, and I pledge to partner with Stafford should I become Governor,” said Malloy.  “As I’ve traveled the state meeting with people and talking about Connecticut’s future, one thing is abundantly clear – people are ready for change in Connecticut.  They’re ready for new leadership and new ideas that will help us grow jobs and get our economy back on track.”
