SPRAGUE – The Sprague Democratic Town Committee voted last night to support Dan Malloy as Connecticut’s next governor, should Malloy decide to run. The former Stamford Mayor is currently exploring a run for the state’s highest office.
"I’m honored to endorse Dan Malloy as Connecticut’s next governor. Dan’s work in Stamford demonstrates his ability to turn Connecticut into a vibrant growing state," said Sprague First Selectman Catherine Osten.
Added Sprague DTC Chair Susan Zimmerman: "It’s my pleasure to endorse Dan Malloy. He understands the role for government in creating a safety net for Connecticut's citizens and creating a workforce to move Connecticut forward."
Malloy, who visited with the DTC last night, said that he was “thankful and energized” by the vote of support. Malloy has been travelling the state in recent months meeting with town committees, local businesses and community leaders to discuss his vision for the future of Connecticut.
